Door Access SystemMy husband works in a large solicitors firm in the city centre of Manchester and, as in many other offices like his, they have a
Door Access System whereby you have to punch in a code to enter the building. The other day, however, the
Door Access System seemed not to be working properly as my husband had punched in the number several times but could not enter. Of course, he wondered whether he had entered the wrong number but was sure he had not made a mistake. However, even after numerous attempts, the
Door Access System would not let him in. Finally, after waiting for quite a while, he managed to get in when a colleague came along and helped him. He eventually found out that the code had changed and, because he had been on holiday for the last week, nobody had told him. The reason for the change had been that they felt that someone who was not an employee had got hold of the code so that security had been jeopardised. Although it was inconvenient for my husband, he was pleased that the company were looking after the security of their staff so well.
